Your privacy is important to us. DesiiChat is designed to be used without creating an account. We do not sell your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

1. Information We Collect

DesiiChat collects minimal information to provide the service:

Chat History (Local Only): Your conversations with AI characters are stored entirely in your browser's LocalStorage. They are never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly sign in and sync.
Optional Account Info: If you choose to create a free account, we collect only your name and email address to identify you and sync your favorites across devices.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymised, aggregated usage data (page views, feature usage) via Cloudflare's built-in analytics. No personally identifiable information is included.
Conversation Data for AI: When you send a message, your text is securely transmitted to our Cloudflare Workers backend, which relays it to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. We do not store the content of your messages on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the AI chat service
To sync your favorites and preferences if you create an account
To detect and prevent abuse of our platform
To serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense (anonymised, non-personal ad targeting)

3. Cookies and Advertising

DesiiChat uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour. These cookies are managed by Google, not by DesiiChat. You can opt out of personalised ads at Google's Ad Settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share anonymised, aggregated data with:

Google (Gemini API): Your chat messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate AI responses. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare: Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers and Pages. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Chat history stored in your browser's LocalStorage is retained until you clear your browser data. To delete your account data, email support@desiichat.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

DesiiChat is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us at support@desiichat.com if you have concerns.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Conversations are relayed through our secure Cloudflare Workers backend. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at support@desiichat.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
